In the summer of 1968, near the end of a post-college tour of Western Europe, I traveled to Prague, as the guest of a Czech student I had met earlier in my trip. The city, along with the rest of what was then known as Czechoslovakia, was a satellite of the old Soviet Union, which was dominated by Russia.
While the city architecturally looked a lot like it does today, with magnificent grandiose old buildings and churches, it was a gray place, devoid of the color or bustle of commerce and excitement befitting not only its magnificent history, but what was happening in cities immediately to the west, in (then) West Germany, France, and the U.K.
Auto traffic was sparse because few could afford a car. Pedestrian traffic in the city center was sparse as well, likely because there was little to buy in badly stocked stores that depended on Russia for food, clothing, and appliances, and didn’t trade with the West.
There were very few tourists, because there was little to do beyond admire the grandiose architecture. I recall going to a bar with my host, who joked cynically that there was only one kind of cola drink to order anywhere, an overly sweet concoction he called “Socialist Coca Cola.” He made his jokes quietly, nearly in a whisper, because you never knew who might be listening, and would report you to the secret police.
When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1989, the Eastern European countries like Czechoslovakia that had been Soviet vassal states turned westward, and rushed to join the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). They were destitute economically, having been squeezed dry by their Russian overseers, and they had had enough of endless political repression that included severe limits on freedom of speech and the press, and an absence of free elections. Some, like Czechoslovakia, first went through internal turmoil that led to the creation of new states (Czech Republic and Slovakia). But whatever the particulars of their reorganizations, not a single one wanted to remain associated with Russia, the main remnant of the Soviet Union.
I recount this history because of the new romanticism surrounding Russia among many on the right, led by our president. The notion of allying ourselves more closely with Russia, and less closely with our long-time allies and trading partners in North America, Europe, and Asia has been building since Trump’s campaign for president, when he several times expressed his admiration of Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin. Trump put something of an exclamation point on the buildup two weeks ago when he stood next to Putin in Helsinki and practically kissed his rear end while telling him and America’s allies that he believed Putin at least as much as his own intelligence services concerning Russian meddling in America’s 2016 election. He even went further, seeming to endorse a Putin suggestion that American and Russian security services team up to investigate Russian interference in the U.S. electoral process.
Why would Trump bash old allies like Germany, France, Canada, and the UK, along with newer trading partners like China and Japan, and reserve his admiration mainly for Russia, which has regularly opposed American interests around the world, and has little to offer in trade because its economy is a wreck? Its main exports are oil and gas, and its economy is about half the size of California’s. Because it is considered one of the most corrupt countries in the world (US News ranks it #8 among its top 10 most corrupt countries), many established international corporations don’t want to do business there.
It is anti-democratic in nearly every sense of the word. Putin won’t allow any serious opponents to run against him in what amount to mock elections. The media is closely monitored by the government, and journalists have been harassed and murdered. Opposition groups, even including rock stars like Pussy Riot, have been tried and jailed for expressing anti-Putin sentiments.
In other words, politically and economically, things haven’t changed much since the dark Soviet days of 1968. Sure, it isn’t “communist” any longer. But even if it is now more appropriately labeled “fascist,” it somehow remains a beacon of opportunity to our president. How could that be?
It’s certainly easy to see why Putin would love closer economic ties with the U.S. We have seemingly endless wealth he would love to transfer to Russia, much as the old Soviet Union sucked Czechoslovakia and its other eastern European satellites dry.
What does the U.S. stand to gain from a closer relationship with Russia? Access to its oil and gas reserves? We have become ever more energy independent, so have no need to access energy so far from our shores. Cheaper vodka supplies? Raw milk? Even though Russia has long been much more accepting of raw dairy than the U.S., it’s not realistic to think about importing raw milk from half way around the world. Or perhaps we could learn something about more effectively hacking the security secrets of our old allies. In other words, it’s a lot easier to understand why Putin wants to forge closer ties with us than it is to understand why Trump wants to suck up to Putin. Unless Trump has a debt to repay to his Russian chum.
David,
Trump runs his presidency like he runs his companies. Top down, total dictatorship and for personal gain and profit. Much easier that way. No consensus or voting needed. Just say….you’re fired…more for me.
I will refrain from a 2300 word catharsis. Mueller is about to indict him.
Suffice it say that his love of diet coke completely exposes his true self and lack of regard for health. Putin at least stood up for breast feeding with the rest of the world.
Trump can not even keep track of his pediatric prisoners and lost 600 kids that may never see their moms again.
Total incompetence. Totally disgusting. A total betrayal of everything we know as American.
Mark: Mueller is part of the partisan political cabal at the FBI and DOJ who have hijacked our electoral process, and since July of 2016 have worked in concert to derail Trump. It began with the Clinton campaign developing dirt-opposition research-during the campaign (the Steele dossier), none of which has been verified. They then used this dirt to apply for, and receive, FISA warrants to spy on Trump campaign officials. The Obama administration (Valerie Jarret) then unmasked them. These are serious felonies, and a threat both to the integrity of our elections and to national security. It was actually the Democrats, rather than the Russians, who meddled in our election. I am neither Republican nor Democrat. I am thoroughly disgusted with both parties. But I appreciate my congressman (may be yours, too), Devin Nunes, digging up this slime. As for Mueller, he was FBI director during 9/11. He refused to allow a key San Diego witness to be interviewed by the 9/11 Commission, and spirited him out of the country. I have nothing but contempt for him, Comey, and the rest of the management level at virtually all federal agencies, especially DOJ, FDA, and CDC.
Well said Gary…
This interview by Judy Woodruff with Senator Rand Paul is worth listening to.
Valid and timely points, Mr. Ogden. McAfee merely regurgitates the CNN mainstream talking points that are based on anything BUT facts.
Frankly, if we abolished about half of the alphabet soup federal agencies we’d never know the difference other that a tremendous decrease in federal debt. Well . . . I guess there would also be thousands of unemployable former federal employees walking around . . . but . . . a small price to pay . . .
Mueller is nothing but a shadow government shill, with Obama and his masters pulling the strings of the Mueller puppet.
By the way — Mr. McAfee — Mueller will never indict Trump as long as Trump is in the oval office. You might take a look at the US Constitution some time and you might discover why this is the case.
“Mueller is nothing but a shadow government shill, with Obama and his masters pulling the strings of the Mueller puppet.”
That is what Trump, Fox, and Rush Limbaugh would have us believe. You might want to review Mueller’s biography. It says in part that Mueller is a conservative Republican who “served as a Marine Corps officer during the Vietnam War, receiving the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” for heroism and the Purple Heart Medal.”
As an assistant attorney general in the Justice Department, “he oversaw prosecutions including that of Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega, the Pan Am Flight 103 (Lockerbie bombing) case, and of the Gambino crime family boss John Gotti.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Mueller
Above all, Mueller is a believer in the rule of law, and a patriot. Compare his bio to Trump’s if you like, beginning with Trump’s avoidance of military service for an ingrown toenail, or some such. Move on to his real estate company being cited for discrimination against blacks in their apartment rental policies (and settling with the U.S. Justice Department), and go from there to Trump stiffing pretty much every subcontractor who ever worked for him.
In the vernacular, on a college sports team, Trump couldn’t qualify to carry Mueller’s jock strap.
Well. Regarding Mr. Mueller, we’ll just have to disagree on this one, Mr. Gumpert. Mueller is deep state and he is corrupt to the core according to probably as many commentators as you can cite who might say otherwise.
If Mueller had one iota of evidence on Trump, it would have been produced long before now. So . . . where is the evidence? And what about such elusive terms being bantered about as “Russian meddling” and Russian “collusion” and “Russian interference”? Those terms have no legal meaning and are nothing but ambiguous words that mean whatever the beholder wants them to mean.
All I see with Mueller’s so called “investigation” is a massive fishing expedition with one goal in mind — Take Down Trump at All Costs. And, to add insult to injury . . . Mueller is conducting this multi-million dollar scam on the tax payers’ dime.
No. Mueller is a joke. A deep state shill. And Mueller’s so called Russian Investigation? It is nothing more than a cover up for “Uranium One,” Hillary’s unchecked act of unmitigated treason.
Now . . . that’s who needs to be investigated — Broom Hillary, along with our prior community organizer of a president. The skeleton’s in those two closets would fill a concert hall.
You make some pretty serious charges, without citing any documentation or supporting evidence. (Yes, documentation….Fortunately, we’re still a nation of laws, and not tyrants, so we need to deal in documentation and evidence before smearing people and throwing them in jail.) You say “Mueller is deep state and he is corrupt to the core…” but don’t provide any inkling of the backup evidence. So I’ll provide some documentation:
– You ask “where is the evidence” about Russian involvement. Here is one summary of evidence accumulated thus far:
Including the indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officials a few weeks back, “special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has either indicted or gotten guilty pleas from 32 people and three companies — that we know of. That group is composed of four former Trump advisers, 26 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer. Five of these people (including three former Trump aides) have already pleaded guilty.”
https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/2/20/17031772/mueller-indictments-grand-jury
– You call Mueller’s investigation “a massive fishing expedition…” Here are some of the fish he’s hooked so far:
Trump campaign manager Paul Mannafort, indicted and about to go on trial. Here is background on him and his case:
https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/8/31/16125776/paul-manafort-russia-trump-mueller
And the indictment, 31 pages of specific accusations:
https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/8/31/16125776/paul-manafort-russia-trump-mueller
Rick Gates, Manafort’s aide and Trump campaign official. He’s pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge. Here’s info:
https://www.vox.com/2018/2/23/17045226/robert-mueller-flip-rick-gates-russia
Here’s his 12-page plea agreement. Interesting reading.
https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/4386515/Gates-Plea-Agreement.pdf
Michael Flynn, Trump’s former National Security Adviser, has made a plea deal with Mueller’s team under which he will plead guilty to one charge, and cooperate in testifying against others being charged.
https://www.vox.com/2017/12/1/16706534/michael-flynn-fbi-charged-deal
There are more Trump aides charged or who have made plea deals as well–you can review the Vox article above for particulars. Plus, if you run out of reading material, take a look at the indictments against the 25 Russians who sabotaged our election system.

-As for Hillary and the uranium “scam,” as you put it….Are there any indictments? I’d love to see them. Trump could order his AG to investigate that situation but doesn’t seem to have done that. Why not? Maybe because there isn’t any substantive evidence making a case for criminal behavior?
Not sure why I have to do all this research for you, Cheese Man. I would have thought Fox News and Rush would have laid it all out. 🙂
I know, facts are a messy thing. Much easier to listen to listen to a bunch of glib entertainers say what you want to hear. They are the ones making the big bucks in all this.
Oh, and one other thing. Mueller isn’t done yet.
There are indeed many serious charges being tossed about.
For example this over-the-top rhetoric leveled at Trump suggesting that his meeting with Putin was treasonous is foolishness. Those who greatly dislike Trump are inadvertently setting the stage for his victory in the next presidential election!
Additionally, the Muller investigation into Russia’s interference in the US election emphasizes the hypocritical nature of the American Political scene and intelligence community. As Rand Paul rightly stated in this interview on CNN with Jake Tapper, “For every action there is a reaction”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOBTv5SBIkM
“Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) says Russia isn’t ever going to admit to interfering in the 2016 US presidential election, while also stating NATO expansion stimulated nationalism in Russia and helped lead to the rise of Vladimir Putin.”
Mueller not “Muller…
when I see great big fat slobs, morbidly obese, lurching-around in public, I wonder : “at what point does the State have entree to intervene in the health of an individual?” Same goes for Mr McAffee’s outpourings on this forum. Aside from his rants being completely off-topic REAL MILK, over the past 2 1/2 years, his Trump Derangement Syndrome has degenerated from merely grating, insulting and counter-productive of civil discourse, to serious questioning of his sanity. The hypocrisy of this Limosine Lib-tard enjoying life in America – prospering in the free market, all the while pimping for social-ism is despicable.
Very obviously! Mark McAffee, you do need a catharsis … before your old pals arrive in the Paramedic wagon and get out the strait-jacket for you = unload all that trite adolescent communist propaganda that’s tormenting you … somewhere else. You need a break. Go soak your head in a water trough
Thanks for the update, Mr. Gumpert. Nice try. Vox (cited by you above as sources) and Wikipedia (cited in your earlier post) have no more credibility to me than “Rush” and “Fox News” do to you.
As one case in point, Flynn pleaded out primarily to “stop the bleeding” as the Feds have unlimited resources to completely ruin someone financially. Flynn decided to “plead out” to have some semblance of resources left for his family to live on now that Mueller and his goons have totally devastated Flynn financially and career wise. All the while, the Clinton Crime family continues to get by with murder.
Mueller is more worthless that the TSA.
You can say what you want about corruption in Russia, but where do the people get their food from? The information I see is that most of the people get their food including dairy products from small scale family plots. Here in the land of the “free” large corporations have a stranglehold on our food production system. I would welcome a food system that encourages small scale local food production which necessarily would mean more human involvement and less destruction of our land and water resources.
Dear Miguel,
Part of communism was to destroy the family farm and most food for people come from really large scale inustrial production that has several hundreds of employees. Iknow this because I work in Russia as a veterinary consultant
Cat,
Do you work for large farms or small family homesteads?
Cat,
Yes, yet despite the Communist’s government’s past attempts to destroy the family farm and replace it with collective industrial farming methods, their attempt proved to be unsuccessful. As well, they underestimated the Russian people’s resolve to uphold their tradition.
I think both you and David will find the following report/study quite interesting “Family Farming in Russian Regions, Small-Scale Agriculture and Food Supporting Russia’s Food Self-Sufficiency”
http://jsbednet.com/journals/jsbed/Vol_2_No_3_4_December_2014/7.pdf
“The broad objective of Russia’s agricultural policy is to increase food self-sufficiency, improved competitiveness and export of basic food products. Specific objectives are sustainable rural development (increased rural employment and improved rural living standards), and natural resource conservation….”
“Large-scale agriculture indeed supports mainly the broad economic objective, but violates specific environmental and social objectives. Small-scale agriculture is supporting both aims. It will not only stimulate own Russian production of food, but it will also integrate production with the many needs of humans and ecosystems. We argue that the opportunities of small scale farming in both objectives should not be underestimated….”
The following paragraph from the reports conclusion… states, “The potential of small-scale farmers goes far beyond agricultural production and food and relate to realizing simultaneously economic, social, ethical and ecological values. Output levels per unit area of small-scale farms are higher than those of large-scale farms. Small-scale agriculture, however, is more labour-intensive than large-scale agriculture. Stimulating small-scale agriculture could therefor increase employment, strengthening active vital rural regions and building new relationships between urban and rural areas. This also could contribute to stopping the migration from the countryside to the city. Tourism has undiscovered potentials, not only in cities, but also in rural areas. Small-scale farms in general do not use chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Apart from this, ecological values can be gained via co-operation with local organizations in the field of landscape, nature, water and ecosystem health. Small-scale agriculture is best equipped for developing own type of Russian agriculture and food and Russian food culture”.
I agree with your concerns about corporate control of America’s food production. I don’t know if Russia’s food system is less corporate controlled. My bigger concern is Russian political tyranny, which translates into the absence of basic rights we take for granted, and that Trump may be inviting Russian tyranny into the U.S. In exchange for what? As others mention, most likely in exchange for financial benefits to Trump’s private business interests.
Trump’s interest is to reduce the nukes between to the two countries. Why no mention of that when it was the main point he emphasized over and over again?
Although it may be A GOAL of Trump to reduce nukes (The Frontline documentary on the 2016 candidates strongly suggests Trump does not have any civically based foundation.), his recent actions toward Russia are usually reserved for trusted allies. In addition, I will not believe Trump is not financially supported by Russian monies until his tax and financial records are made public and his refusal to follow this tradition is supports the link. I believe, no president should have the financial connections that Trump has on a Constitutional basis. It opens the position to more graft than it already has via the power of position alone.
Of course Trump is talking all nicey nicey with Putin. Any other approach when it comes to Russia’s nukes would be ineffective.
If Putin feels safe with regards to the US, then a deasl is possible. If Putin felt suspicious or insulted, then he’ll keep his nukes and add more.
Sorry, Kelley, but the mind you describe is not the mind of the tyrant. “If Putin feels safe….” That may be the way to relate to your child or spouse, make him or her feel safer, more comfortable. In the world of power politics (our real-life world) tyrants like Putin react best to hard limits being placed on their behavior, and sometimes threats. Trump has used this tactic in dealing with North Korea (threatening “fire and fury like the world has never seen”) when they were launching missiles over Japan, and more recently with Iran. While I don’t care for casually threatening nuclear holocaust, the threats may well have caused North Korea to take a different tack, and negotiate (the results are still TBD). But somehow, Trump can’t seem to summon anything approaching the same tough tactics with Russia, even after it poses a more direct threat to the U.S. by sabotaging our election process. Indeed, he seems to take the opposite approach, continually angling to kiss Putin’s rear end. Why is that? We know from hard experience (“appeasement” of Hitler before WWII) that appeasement never works with cruel dictators like Putin.
British Intelligence knmows that Putin has stuff on Trump including videos of him with prostitutes. Personally I think that’s Trump’s own business what he does privately, but politics isn’t like that. Trump also has advanced agreements to build a Trump Tower in Moscow with russian oligark money, and I believe the Russians have offered more tower deals to him in different cities.
These are good enough reasons (stick and carrot,) for Trump to show Putin that he’s favorable towards him.
David, you may want to stick to truly food-related topics as your following is VERY politically diverse. The conversation will be all over the place and probably not productive. Just a suggestion.
This sounds like the USA “The media is closely monitored by the government, and journalists have been harassed and murdered. Opposition” China is killing us with cheap products that dont last and chemicals used in creating food products like high fructose laden corn syrup coca-cola. Maybe the USA can learn to protect its residents from greedy corporations like Russia. Our corrupt EPA & FDA are our enemies putting corporate gain over human lives. Can you imagine what Russians is writing about the USA.
You should travel to Russia, go out into the countryside and see how Russia cares for all her people.
The only reason that The US president is sucking up to Russia is because he is too stupid to realize that Putin is playing him like a puppy on a string. That is why Russia medled in US elections To get someone that was so stupid.
David’s description of the history and the current situation is correct.
I have been hesitant to come over here and review what is being posted here mainly because it has been a never-ending Trump bash over here since Nov. 2016. And, lo and behold, after weeks of refraining from checking this blog, the broken record is still clicking, clicking, clicking over here, stuck on Trump is bad for this and Trump is bad for that, etc.
It seems to me that it really doesn’t matter what Trump does, who he meets with, or what the outcome might be. Whatever the case, you Lefty Never Trumpers will never back off your never-ending mantra. All the while, the economy is booming, the Democrats are being outed for the collective idiots they really are, and the Republicans keep winning.
Discussion of raw milk and local food and good farming is a thing of the past over here it appears.
Thanks for an interesting column. I wish more people
had your insight David. I understand why some people
voted for Trump. The Democrats abandoned the working
class 40 years ago and have mostly become corrupted and
take dark money and do what the big donors want, not regular
people. So with both parties favoring the wealthy and
corporations. Trump ran a populous campaign, a fake one though. He is stupid and infantile and mean and does not
care or even know about the people who voted for him.
But I love how they cover for him and make up stuff and believe Fox news propaganda, Good God Sean Hannity, is there a better ass kisser or bigger phony Baloney? And the sick part is that most of the Fox people they know better but will say anything for the money. Good for Whoopie! I am a member of TYT online news, home of the progressives and yes Bernie and other progressives do have a plan how to pay for universal health care and free college and a livable minimum wage. Go to Bernie’s website and you can see it. Cenk of TYT net work said it is funny how no one asks how we can fund wars or give the rich huge tax breaks, but oh for the regular people, even though 11 other nations have some form of universal health care, we in the USA cannot have it. Crumbs for us little people and more and more money for the one percent. Sometimes our money trickles up to them too. Take the Walmart family…Please, take them to another planet. Anyway I always appreciate your unique and honest and forthright opinions David!
When the old Soviet Union collapsed, it was a power and natural resources grab of historic proportions. Those in power grabbed the most and only shared with friends with shared beliefs and political and familial connections. Hence, Russia is very stable with highly concentrated power held by billionaire oligarchs. The military is closely affiliated as well. Trump loves this simple system of power and money. Trump does not understand that America is so much more than its president. America is a system with a culture that does not change with the election of a president. That’s why we see corporations following climate change vision. That’s why we see the FBI following the ethical pathway to justice. That’s why we see more and more of our senators and congressmen standing up and refusing to follow Trump.
I am sorry….but the media is our very best freedom advocate. No free media and America we know ceases to exist. As far as the EPA being corrupt, if it is….change it. The EPA must protect us from our own greed and exploitation of our natural resources. Global climate change is serious stuff. The entire world knows it, except for Trump.
Trump will be gone soon. When the dems win back both houses, Trump will be perp walked out of the White House and we will start taking things like climate change seriously.
When I was in Norway this summer, it was public policy that gas and diesel cars are on the way out and electric cars were on the way in. In five years expect most cars to be electric. Tesla car sales and other electric vehicles are subsidized and gas and diesel are heavily taxed.
The air is clean and the windmills are spinning. If this is socialism….bring it on. Socialism means shared public responsibility for many things. Medical care, education, environment, etc. this is a good thing. There is a reason why Norway has one of the highest standards of living in the world.
They also do not tolerate racism or religious bigotry in the slightest. They embrace freedom of speech and teach morals and ethics to their children in public schools.
The leadership in Norway reflects this moral and ethical expectation.
One look at our leadership and the rest of the world gasps. Where are the morals? Where is the ethics ? Where is humanity ? As a visitor to the EU I heard this over and over. Deep concern for the USA. For the last 100years America has been the world leader in ethics, morals and humanity. We all know America is far from perfect. We have failed to be the role model time and time again. But this administration has the world really worried.
Reagan told The USSR to tear down that wall. Trump wants to build a huge one. Losing hundreds of children? I would not be surprised if Trump does not get hauled before a tribunal at The Hague.
How far we have fallen.
When resources become more scarce, planning a countries economics is a good thing. A free capitalistic state in its ultimate expression is fascism. Those in power seek to protect their riches with all their might including military power. Capitalism is greed.
Socialism with shared humanitarian vision that embraces the individuals need to excel while providing for the common good: thats a step beyond cut throat competitive capitalism. Socialism means socially conscious. It does not mean a welfare state. Lets list a few countries that have advanced socially conscious governance: Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, Norway, Finland, Australia, New Zealand…..need I list more.
Why is it that America still has a mostly greed based medical care system ? Why is profit important for medical care ? Doesn’t that incentivize illness? Shouldn’t medical care emphasize prevention, so the shared burden becomes lighter? In the USA a helicopter ride to he hospital could cost $50,000 dollars. In countries with socialized Medical care it is either free or part of a shared plan.
“when the Dems win back both houses …” ?! that kind of talk, Mr McAffee, tells us on this forum that you’ve totally lost touch with what the rest of us call “reality”. and I suppose Hilary Clinton will be leading them, eh? See the latest pics of her in the giant Muumuu = credit where credit is due : the woman has endless chutzpa to appear in public, looking that bad. Or perhaps Bernie Sanders – card-carrying commie, age 75 in the next presidential dogfight – is your standardbearer?
July 27th was Korean ‘war’ remembrance Day, when we honored the men who gave their lives half a world away to prevent communism advancing. Those people are profoundly thankful for what my old man – especially the 500 guys in his regiment who did not come home alive – did = stood in the gap. Unlike you, you child … plumping-away for the Reds to take over, from your perch = ensconced in luxury, doing so well in a free enterprise economy, supremely ignorant of what it took to maintain freedoms your family enjoys.
“Modern society is hypnotized by socialism. It is prevented by socialism from seeing the mortal danger it is in. And one of the greatest dangers of all is that you have lost all sense of danger, you cannot even see where it’s coming from as it moves swiftly towards you.” Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

EPA is like any other job, either conform or be gone
words fail me to even begin a succinct critique to your simple-minded NON-sense, Mark McAffee. After a couple of years’ of putting up with your bilge, what becomes clear is = you’re trapped in some 1960s high-school-level delusion about socialism. One quick rebuttal to your assertion “there is a reason why Norway has one of the highest standards of living in the world” … yeah, because it’s overwhelmingly a homogenous WHITE population which is managing its fabulous oil wealth properly. Contrasted with the Californication going on in your state, in which half the humans being – almost all non-white – are a basket-case class of learned helplessness.
….Get off the communist bandwagon … get back to dispensing REAL MILK … spend a few hours reading the classics : why empires fail … be grateful that there is still a semblance of private property in America.
President Donald Trump is attempting to get the leaders of the world to talk to each other rather than have adversarial relationships .There has been enough BLOOD of young American men and women spread over the world due to misunderstandings between world leaders .Lets give President Trump some credit for the good he has already done for our country ,and stop the uncontrollable hatred now going on .
Gordon and Conrad,
You acuse me of all sorts of interesting things.
Supporting Trump is the ultimate hypocracy . Trump loves Putin….Putin is all of those things you acuse me of.
Your diatribe of being anti communist is in total conflict with your love of Trump and Trumps love of Dictators in North Korea and Putin himself.
By defending Trump you defend and support what you describe as communism and Fascism. By connection, you love all things North Korea and Putin.
You talk about freedom and being anti communist, yet You defend Trump. Trump is committing Treason with his extra close relations with Putin and Kim and destruction of NATO and our Korean War and WW2 allies.
Go back to your racist white supremist Rock and climb back under it. When you praise Trump you praise Kim and Putin.
I am the patriot here…..not you. I serve all and feed all.
you’re blathering, Mr McAffee. you’re setting yourself up for the Para-medic SWAT team to roll up to your door and take you away for a much-needed vacation. Dumping your festering incoherent socialist non-sense into this forum discredits the Campaign for REAL MILK. I know it’s illegal to diagnose remotely, but your rants make obvious that your blood pressure won’t tolerate another 2 years of PRESIDENT Trump.
>>>>> Donald Trump is a made-for-media cartoon character. The root of your problem, is : as one brainwashed in the Saul Alinsky school of communism, you re-act at that level without thinking. Preferring to be an ignoramus >>>>> you’ll be rewarded accordingly
I erred in saying that it was Valerie Jarret behind the unmasking of American citizens being spied upon during 2016. Most of them were unmasked under the name of U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power. Sharyl Attkisson’s article in The Hill explains. David, the Obama administration committed terrible abuses of power, as bad as any Republican administration has ever done. Hiding our heads in the sand doesn’t make it go away. Nor will smearing Sharyl Attkisson, a fine journalist whose personal and CBS computers were hacked by this same administration.
Alas, Mr. Ogden. You may be having the proverbial conversation with the proverbial fence post. I am not sure your point will be heard over here by many on this blog.
The point is that you are correct and I agree with you regarding the Obama administration. The problem for the Left is they believe their own spin and agenda, rather than taking a hard look at the truth.
Even though Trump was not my first choice in 2016, I would have taken the dog catcher over Hillary. Now that Trump is in there upsetting the Deep State apple cart, there is no end to the negativity being reported about him while his base just keeps growing.
Yes. Their collective heads are either buried deep in the sand and raised to the sky, howling at the moon.
I agree with Blesse’d are the cheesemakers, Gary Ogden and usually even Gordon Watson. Paul Craig Roberts, an assistant Secretary of the Treasury under Reagan, says in a piece on his blog that of the 17 intelligence agencies in the US, only 3, the FBI, the CIA, and the NSA, believe there is any evidence of Russian collusion in our elections. The VIPS – a group of retired veteran intelligence officers – point the finger at someone in the DNC and say it was not Russia. Former NSA technical director Bill Binney, in an interview posted on YouTube with Tomi Collins, has technological proof that it was not the Russians that did the hacking. If Trump had seen that proof, no wonder he didn’t go after Putin.
Blesse’d are the cheesemakers wrote: “I am not sure your point will be heard over here by many on this blog.” I don’t think it’s a question of what point the followers of this blog might hear. I think it’s more a question of how many here want to participate in these political discussions and hear more Russia-bashing. There are plenty of other venues for that. Surely there is enough to talk about in the raw milk, agriculture, and health venues without getting into politics and triggering TDS.
I abstained from commenting before because I did not want to further the political bend this blog has taken. But I believe it is important to consider evidence and authoritative sources that you don’t see presented by the mainstream media and that apparently David has not seen. I recommend http://www.paulcraigroberts.org.
Russia does not allow the sale of GMOs in its country. Maybe we should try to learn from Russia.
Discussing with you, Gary Ogden, Lynn an interesting exercise in semantics, because you guys have intriguing techniques for denial and evasion (of the issues being discussed), including:
– Blame Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, even though they’ve been out of power a minimum of 1 1/2 years (Obama) and as much as 18 years (Bill Clinton).
– Make believe that Trump is the most vilified prez ever, a victim of (take your pick: MSM, Deep State, libtards, etc.) Even though Bill Clinton had an independent prosecutor breathing down his neck for nearly the entire eight years he was prez (remember Ken Starr?), which led to impeachment proceedings against Clinton (passed by House, denied by Senate).
– Refuse to acknowledge anything from some hidden list of pubs you guys must keep among yourselves (like NYTimes, Vox, Washington Post, etc., etc.). Makes it look to an outsider like me that when you don’t like the info being presented, you just say everything from the pub in question is lies. (Like my citation of Vox to Cheese Man–all it did was tabulate the number of indictments; if you disagreed with the tabulation, you might have linked to a different tabulation, which you didn’t.)
– Declare the problem or inconsistency a conspiracy or a lie. Latest case in point: Trump for months has been saying “there was no collusion” with Russians. Now that his own (former) lawyer is saying Trump approved the big meeting with Russians, Trump and Giuliani saying, “Collusion isn’t a crime.” Hmmmm. (BTW, collusion on something like helping the Russians sabotage our elections is a crime, usually prosecuted as “conspiracy to commit” XX YY or ZZ.
BTW, I haven’t argued that anyone in Mueller’s investigation is guilty, because we don’t know yet. That’s up to juries. I’ve only argued that the investigation makes sense, especially since it was established by Trump’s own Justice Department.
The problem for the Left is they believe their own spin and agenda, rather than taking a hard look at the truth. — The same could be said for the Republicans,LOL!!
Let’s look at the case against Manafort currently being advanced by the hack, Mueller. The following is a quote taken straight out of Politico, a publication the Left is sure to love. The article was published on April 4, 2018, by Josh Gerstein:
“Manafort is facing two separate indictments obtained by Mueller’s office. One, in Washington, focuses on money laundering and foreign lobbying. Another, in Alexandria, Virginia, involves tax fraud, bank fraud and failure to report overseas bank accounts. The 69-year-old Manafort could potentially spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted in either case.
Neither case appears to directly relate to allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, but prosecutors have closely scrutinized Manafort’s dealings with Ukraine because of alliances between Russia and many Ukrainian politicians and businessmen.”
Mr. Gerstein states that “neither case appears to directly relate to allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia . . .” Ya think? Since the time period covered by Manafort’s alleged bad acts occurred prior to 2014, I would think that this witch hunt has absolutely NOTHING to do with Trump. My understanding is that the Justice Department passed on this investigation in earlier years as they felt like they had bigger fish to fry.
Of course, later, after Manafort joined the Trump campaign for a brief period of time, and Trump went on to win the presidency, all of the sudden, the things Manafort allegedly did in his pre-Trump days became a big deal to Mueller — guilt by association — right?
I stand by my earlier comment — this never ending Mueller “investigation” is nothing but a witch hunt fueled by those who just can’t get over the fact that Hillary Clinton lost in 2016. Trump Derangement Syndrome — TDS
I’m glad to learn you are broadening your reading material to include Politico. You may want to continue on that path, and take a look at some of the indictments I linked to. (I figured you might not care for Vox, so I included links to the actual indictments, the legal materials that are the main source we have of legal evidence against those charged, of which Manafort is just one of 32 individuals.) I suspect that when Mueller completes his investigation, we’ll find out it’s a pretty complex case, regardless of whether Trump is implicated. A lot of evidence that the Russians did indeed work to sabotage the election, and that Americans involved in encouraging or even helping them.
Just as a preview for your additional reading, there are names and places in the indictments. For example, this about a Russian organizational the center of the sabotage:
https://www.justice.gov/file/1035477/download
“10. Defendant INTERNET RESEARCH AGENCY LLC (Агентство Интернет Исследований) is a Russian organization engaged in political and electoral interference operations. In or around July 2013, the ORGANIZATION registered with the Russian government as a Russian corporate entity. Beginning in or around June 2014, the ORGANIZATION obscured its conduct by operating through a number of Russian entities, including Internet Research LLC, MediaSintez LLC, GlavSet LLC, MixInfo LLC, Azimut LLC, and NovInfo LLC. Starting in or around 2014, the ORGANIZATION occupied an office at 55 Savushkina Street in St. Petersburg, Russia. That location became one of the ORGANIZATION’s operational hubs from which Defendants and other co-conspirators carried out their activities to interfere in the U.S. political system, including the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
a. The ORGANIZATION employed hundreds of individuals for its online operations, ranging from creators of fictitious personas to technical and administrative support.”
This from the other indictment of Russian intelligence officials carrying out the hacking of DNC emails:

2. Defendants VIKTOR BORISOVICH NETYKSHO, BORIS ALEKSEYEVICH ANTONOV, DMITRIY SERGEYEVICH BADIN, IVAN SERGEYEVICH YERMAKOV, ALEKSEY VIKTOROVICH LUKASHEV, SERGEY ALEKSANDROVICH MORGACHEV, NIKOLAY YURYEVICH KOZACHEK, PAVEL VYACHESLAVOVICH YERSHOV, ARTEM ANDREYEVICH MALYSHEV, ALEKSANDR VLADIMIROVICH OSADCHUK, and ALEKSEY ALEKSANDROVICH POTEMKIN were GRU officers who knowingly and intentionally conspired with each other, and with persons known and unknown to the Grand Jury (collectively the “Conspirators”), to gain unauthorized access (to “hack”) into the computers of U.S. persons and entities involved in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, steal documents from those computers, and stage releases of the stolen documents to interfere with the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
3. Starting in at least March 2016, the Conspirators used a variety of means to hack the email accounts of volunteers and employees of the U.S. presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton (the “Clinton Campaign”), including the email account of the Clinton Campaign’s chairman.
4. By in or around April 2016, the Conspirators also hacked into the computer networks of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (“DCCC”) and the Democratic National Committee (“DNC”). The Conspirators covertly monitored the computers of dozens of DCCC and DNC employees, implanted hundreds of files containing malicious computer code (“malware”), and stole emails and other documents from the DCCC and DNC.
5. By in or around April 2016, the Conspirators began to plan the release of materials stolen from the Clinton Campaign, DCCC, and DNC.
6. Beginning in or around June 2016, the Conspirators staged and released tens of thousands of the stolen emails and documents. They did so using fictitious online personas, including
2

“DCLeaks” and “Guccifer 2.0.”
7. The Conspirators also used the Guccifer 2.0 persona to release additional stolen documents through a website maintained by an organization (“Organization 1”), that had previously posted documents stolen from U.S. persons, entities, and the U.S. government. The Conspirators continued their U.S. election-interference operations through in or around November 2016.
8. To hide their connections to Russia and the Russian government, the Conspirators used false identities and made false statements about their identities. To further avoid detection, the Conspirators used a network of computers located across the world, including in the United States, and paid for this infrastructure using cryptocurrency.
Defendants
9. Defendant VIKTOR BORISOVICH NETYKSHO (Нетыкшо Виктор Борисович) was the Russian military officer in command of Unit 26165, located at 20 Komsomolskiy Prospekt, Moscow, Russia. Unit 26165 had primary responsibility for hacking the DCCC and DNC, as well as the email accounts of individuals affiliated with the Clinton Campaign.
10. Defendant BORIS ALEKSEYEVICH ANTONOV (Антонов Борис Алексеевич) was a Major in the Russian military assigned to Unit 26165. ANTONOV oversaw a department within Unit 26165 dedicated to targeting military, political, governmental, and non-governmental organizations with spearphishing emails and other computer intrusion activity. ANTONOV held the title “Head of Department.” In or around 2016, ANTONOV supervised other co-conspirators who targeted the DCCC, DNC, and individuals affiliated with the Clinton Campaign…..”
I suspect the reason it took so many months for the FBI/Mueller to come up with this info is that it wasn’t readily available, required extensive and intensive investigation/covert efforts to obtain. Which is why the investigation needs to be allowed to play out–to try to minimize ongoing accusations and cross-accusations, the “whataboutism” that taints so much of the discussion.
Thank you, Mr. Gumpert, for your guidance on this. I would like to point the following out for the record.
Black’ Law Dictionary defines “indictment” as follows:
“A written accusation of one or more persons of a crime or misdemeanor, presented to, and preferred upon oath or affirmation, by a grand jury legally convoked.”
What this means is that when someone is “indicted,” that person is being accused of a crime. Our current legal system assumes a person is innocent until proven guilty. As such, all these indictments that you point to as so damning are merely accusations where the prosecutorial authority is trying to throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at the named defendants.
None of these accusations, and that’s all they are at this time, have anything to do with Donald J. Trump and his performance as President of the United States.
These accusations, which as I said before, is all they are, sound really bad and terrible and dire and all that. However, why don’t we wait until the jury is out on all this before we start trying to connect some kind of dots to the President.
I guess my point is — So what about all these indictments? What does any of this have to do with the Trump presidency? Not a damn thing from my seat in the bleachers. All I see is sensationalized hyperbole. There. I said it.
Just a bit more info on grand juries: They are covered by the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, “No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury….”
They interview witnesses and listen to testimony before voting to issue an indictment. Interesting article here about the Mueller grand jury, from last March:
http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/377746-5-facts-about-muellers-grand-jury
You are absolutely correct, that those indicted in this case are innocent till proven guilty in court by a jury of their peers. It all takes time.
Time will tell what is true and what is not David, Your writing rings much more with truth than others do!!
“Innocent until proven guilty” is a concept that often appears lost in the real world. With respect to President Trump some people, including prominent and influential individuals (who should know better), have already established themselves as judge and juror and have publicly convicted him. My sense is, despite proof of guilt, there will be those who hold to their belief of innocence, and despite proof of innocence, there will be those who hold to their belief of guilt…
The following “On The Hill” article entitled “Judging Trump: Are elites disconnected or is the public in denial?” states, “…who is right about Trump, the college-educated elites or the general public? It’s unlikely we’ll ever get a definitive answer because how one judges a political leader is far more subjective than most scholars would care to admit. Still, when it comes to judging President Trump, what seems obvious is that everyone, not just the elites, is living in a bubble.”
http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/381859-judging-trump-are-elites-disconnected-or-is-the-public-in-denial
This observation by Wayne Dyer seems oblivious to many of us who are quick to judge… “When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself”. Indeed, and as Jesus stated in His Sermon on the Mount, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you”.
why does everyone feel they need someone to lead them
just don’t vote
do-it-yourself
it doesn’t matter if one votes these days

David,
Wow….I now know why he won.
Back to better subjects. Last evening the Weston A Price chapter in Sierra Madre CA ( north LA area ) held a special celebration of their 100th chapter meeting. The place was jammed packed with awesome human beings. Sally sent Hilde to do a Podcast interview with me to talk about a broad range of “all things raw milk” with a touch of human gut biome genomics, A2, EU raw milk studies and the wide world of milk politics.
It was truly awesome. Not one mention of politics. Just grass roots sharing with an emphasis on the most important thing we all share….human health and the health of our next generations. Several kids running around showing off their characteristic good behavior and super powers brought by raw milk consumption….
Raw milk Ice cream topped it off. Congrats to Joy, Karen, and the rest that keep on teaching about good food.
I was do proud to be their organic raw milk farmer! Talking to all the kids and their stories of being super healthy. What a great and caring community.
no, “not one mention of politics” at the WA Price meeting. “It was truly awesome. Not one mention of politics. Just grass roots sharing with an emphasis on the most important thing we all share….human health and the health of our next generations. Even though everyone enjoyed that precious moment, you cannot constrain thyself from dropping your rancor into this website, cans’t thou Mark McAffee? Let’s see you grow up = sufficient at least, to go a day, or a week, or better yet = a year = without mentioning the “he” whose name you cannot mention friendly.
… ironically ; the exit poll at that event showed most of those young moms had voted for PRESIDENT Trump
Even though everyone enjoyed that precious moment, you cannot constrain thyself from dropping your rancor into this website, cans’t thou Mark McAffee? Let’s see you grow up = sufficient at least, to go a day, or a week, or better yet = a year = without mentioning the “he” whose name you cannot mention friendly.—The exact same can be said of you Watson,LMAO!!
Love all, Serve all, Feed all….irregardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, bias, economic status or political persuasion or anything else that could possibly define or divide us.
Go high!
I forgive you and bless you.
The greatest Question of all. Is there anyone posting here that supports the Q-anon movement ?
Watson? Anyone?
I am Q.
Just kidding . . . What is it, pray tell, Mr. McAfee?
I have had a chance to read up a little on “Q-anon” since this morning. Interesting that all the mainstream pundits have come out with negative stories on Q-anon in the last couple of days — i.e., NYT, Vox, WaPO, CNN, etc., just like clockwork . . . Almost on cue like everyone of these mainstream “news” sources received their information on “Q” from one source who instructed them to come out with hit pieces on whatever Q-anon might be all at the same time.
BTW, I have no opinion either way re: “Q” at this time. I just find it interesting that the so called “Russian” interference story is clung to by the left as real while the Q folks are laughed at as conspiracy nuts.
Truly an interesting world we live in today . . .
Does making America Great include the totally irresponsible management of kids kidnapped from their parents?
The administration demands that the judge put the responsibility of finding parents and reuniting them with their kids on the ACLU plate? The judge said hell no to that demand and holds the admin totally responsible instead.
Is this a sign of a responsible administration or DOJ.
Does this make America Great ?
Any one who fails to take responsibility for their irresponsible inhumane actions can not be great.
Ivana Trump even denounced the actions.
How could anyone stand with this administration? Simple question about ethics and morals.
MARC BEFORE YOU COMMENT ON HOW ALL THE KIDS WERE KIDNAPPED (AKA SEPARATED FROM THEIR ALLEGED PARENTS).PLEASE FIND OUT FIRST IF ALL THE KIDS HAD PARENTS.MANY OF THESE PEOPLE THAT TRY TO COME IN COME IN WITH KIDS THAT ARE NOT THEIRS./ITS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS.DONT FEEL SORRY RIGHT AWAY AND SOME OF THESE KIUDS HAVE BEEN KIDNAPPED FROM THE COUNTRY THEY CAME FROM IN ORDER TO GET HERE.THEY PRETEND THEY HAVE KIDS.CLEARLY YOU DONT KNOW SOMEONE IN THE FBI
your ethics and morals were writ Large, Mark McAffee, when you announced that you’re perfectly OK with this country slaughtering a million children a year, by artificial abortion. A father, grandfather and Paramedic for many years – yet you cannot figure out where babies come from, eh? A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways
… What rank hypocrisy … virtue-signalling that you somehow ‘care about children’ whilst studiously turning a blind eye to genocide. Making America Great Again, certainly does include repelling invaders. Regardless of age.
…. Get back to your strong suit = milk = and quit intruding your psychosis = Trump Derangement Syndrome = on those of us who care about the interests of white people
and marc they are using some of the intestine baccillus from abortion clinics to make yogurt cultures…maybe some in yours from your farm.
and gordon…stop saying you are white …you are not a sheeple.what country is your ethnic background from??? please say this…i am not white i am italian/irish/welsh I AM NOT WHITE.these phrases words were first put on job applications……need i say more…put your country of origin…your ethicnic roots..please stop saying “white”
i dont mean this in a mean way to you
what is your ethnic heritage anyway gordon..i really wanna know
Kathy : since it matters to you = my pedigree goes back at least as far as Robart Fitz Walter, whose seal is on the Magna Carta of 1215 AD. He was so fractious that when they were negotiating at Runnymede, the Barons made him stay on the other side of the river, lest hostilities break out anew. Fitz Walter ; Walter son ; Watson = same name.
>>>> The Israelites of ancient days came into Europe via the Caucasus mountains, which is where we get the word Caucasian. I make sure to use the word “white” because the anti-christs come un-glued when you throw political correctness back in their faces … the audacity to voice the concept that : race matters.
“We must secure the existence of our people, and a future for white children” … you got a problem with that?!
but what exact countries is your origin from gordon?? I think i asked you this before and i was waiting.Please name countries.Thanx much
Just England?? Any other countries
Kathy: “i am not white i am italian/irish/welsh I AM NOT WHITE.”
Err … yes you are white, sister. I’m African American, Native American, and ancestors who were also European colonists. In my books, you are indeed White.
Hi Vera…ok but im not gonna call you black…i usually say african american I AM INDEED IRISH/ITALIAN/WELSH SORRY GOTTA CORRECT YOU BECAUSE BY USING BLACK AND WHITE YOU ARE STILL IN THE RACISTS REALITY. no i dont go by that i say what ethnic background i am thats it using black white what are the others is racist…and keeps it that way….has kept it that way for years…anyone know when the term white …black…redskin…etc started??? maybe your all scampering now to find out on the internet…. dont go that way.its my ethnic heritage that takes priority not the stupid word of black or white that doesnt say much.
K — Identity Politics Police alert — that’s what I take away from your post . . . and it appears that you shame Vera in the process. Below is a quote from a fairly recent article penned by Josh Wagoner entitled, “How Political Correctness And Identity Politics Are Destroying America”, “The Daily Caller”, 01/20/18:
“The identity-driven PC agenda needs to be called out for what it really is: a sanctimonious monster, fighting perceived racism with real racism and hatred with more hate. It flies in the face of Martin Luther King Jr.’s Dream for a nation that judges based on character, not race.”
Mr. Wagoner goes on . . .
“Democrats and the media are able to keep identity politics relevant by furthering the notion that racism, sexism, (insert the –ism) lurk around every corner.”
As for me, I agree with Mr. Wagoner’s premise, i.e., political correctness is destroying our culture. I am sick of it myself. I yearn for the days when we could laugh at ourselves and our differences — as from irreverent old Richard Pryor standup routine.
TO, B.
No I dont SHAME VERA.
EVERYONE LOVES TO GO INTO DETAIL WHAT THEIR HERITAGE IS .FROM WHAT COUNTRIES THEY COME FROM OR COUNTRY.IT OPENS UP MANY THINGS MORE SO THEN JUST BLACK AND WHITE.IM NOT TALKING ABOUT ASIAN OR NATIVE ..BUT THE TERM BLACK AND WHITE OR BROWN .THE WORDS BLACK AND WHITE ARE “NEW” WORDS ADDED TO THE DICTIONARY THEY DONT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THAT PERSON.THEY ARE RACIST WORDS I THINK .I ALLWAYS ASK SOMEONE I MEET WHATS YOUR ETHNIC BACKGROUND PEOPLE ARE PROUD OF THIS TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT.SINCE IM FROM NEW YORK THIS MAY BE WHY I ASK THIS AND ARE LIKE THIS …BUT IM NOT SHAMING VERA .I LIKE VERA SHE HELPED ME WITH A LISTERIA THING .And see now ,knowing that she is mixed heritage i like her even more…let me ask you this did you ever before you met someone ask them “so are you black or white”? or did you say to them “what is your ethnic heritage ,what country/ies are you from originally ? ” which sounds more racist and not very friendly i think the first one.We are all “mutts”.Even Gordon.. might be mixed with some Irish …scottish… eh
Mixed-race is the actually term I use for myself, Kathy.
But re terminology: “Black”, “White”, “Native”, “Asian” … none of those terms are pejorative. And they aren’t labels to avoid. They are the reality that prejudice and racism exists and we must tackle it head-on. We can’t solve racism by choosing new terms. We need to tackle the underlying prejudice and discrimination which still exists today – for examples see http://www.economist.com/books-and-arts/2018/08/04/black-voices-white-voices-the-cost-of-accents .
You first said you were African American in your first response to me … mixed race is what you say now…they are both good but the white ,black ,caucasian thing is what i never liked. Sorry Vera, im still going to avoid those words….and what does pejoritive mean…ive got to look that up.
Intestinal Baccillus from abortions is not used to make yogurt culture. I believe a controlled study should be done by a legitimate scientific group to determine the benefits ,if any of raw milk versus other forms of milk so we can stop this anetodotal controversy. It is my opinion all the political bullshit should be elimated from this blog . Thank you
good point, Bill March. All the political bovine excrement SHOULD be eliminated from this blog. Problem is, though, that Mr Gumpert’s mission statement stipulates this forum is about the politics of raw milk. Which means from Grass Roots up to the Oval Office. Even the king’s table is served by the grass of the field.
One of the definitions of “politics’, being : the outworking of people’s belief systems. Mark McAffee / his ilk were shaken to their very core when Donald Trump outwitted the Lib-tard Establishment. Unfortunately he can’t resolve that shock, so he makes sure everyone else “feels his pain”. Odd? that he doesn’t have somewhere else in cyberspace … a lot more sympathetic. After putting up with him for nigh-on a year and a half, now (?) I guess we have to see his pathetic floundering-around-with-one-foot-nailed-to-the-floor, as the result of this “Red Diaper Baby” (him) being confronted with what the rest of us call “reality”. So the non-sense he pours out here can be seen as a ‘cry for help’, or something. Confer with the case of David Horowitz
its COVERT bill . Question to you…..What mother would donate her baccillus from her babies intestines ??? she wouldnt ………. the name of the baccillus you are looking for on yogurt containers for kids and babies is infantis… but the name changed to bifidus about 3 years ago..
No mother will………..so where pray tell do they get this bacillus from..thats where cadavers and abortion clinics come in.
you can get soil based baccillus to make cultures like Bulgaris …
AND NO BILL THIS SHOULD NOT BE ELIMINATED FROM THIS WEBCITE WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF ?
I CARE WHAT MY FELLOW AMERICAN IS CONSUMING…APPARENTLY YOU DONT ‘SCREEN SLAVER”
SINCE ITS A BACCILLUS THAT GOES INTO MAKING YOGURT AND WE ARE ON A BLOG THAT DEALS WITH DAIRY ISSUES ..IT SHOULD BE HERE.
David,
Isn’t it a wonderful day! Sometimes I write comments just to watch with great anticipation the words that will eminate from responding comments.
I am fascinated. I thought that white supremacist racist commentary was something of the past. Boy was I wrong.
Exposing it….is the first step in acknowledgement of the long path we have to go.
Racism has never died in the USA David, may be worse now than for quite sometime, pitiful really!! Worldwide so called “whites” are becoming a minority. Some of the “old white men” NEED to leave politics for sure, need some youth ,vigor and new ideas, hell we can’t even hardly come up with any new ideas for even a movie!! New movie,old movie, new boss,old boss, nothing actually changes much, it seems!!
I knew that quote would get him, and he rose to the bait like a catfish to the worm. McAffee admits his presence on this forum, is = as a troll. Himself acknowledging that ( by far) the majority of folks who subscribe and especially, post, on this forum are white. Same demographic who actually do the chores and drink REAL MILK. thus answering my qvestion = he DOES have a problem with us advancing the white race! IE. my prime purpose participating on this forum…. all, towards white children having a future that includes perfect teeth and strong bones.
… if Mr McAffee could get the professional help he so-obviously needs to cope with his Trump Derangement Syndrome, it would recede as “something of the past”, and this forum would be better than it has been laterly.
>>> When Mark McAffee uses the term “… the long path we have to go” … he’s channeling one of the leading lights of communism, Gramsci, who coined the term “the long march through the institutions”. When you look at your country and wonder why it’s so far-removed from the way Norman Rockwell depicted it, only 2 generations ago, the answer is to be found in the “core values’ of guys like Mark McAffee … ignorantly preaching that their values are “American”, even while they practice the very opposite of what America used to be
… McAffee & his ilk are gnawing their cheeks with resentment because Donald Trump / his handlers figured out work around the Establishment media, so as to reach the conscience of white Christian America, and get them into the voting booths. I guess you’ll just have to put up with Mark McAffee ’til the owner of this blog reaches the end of his patience
Serve all children, Feed all children, Love all children. Educate all children. Hug all children. Protect all children.
” protect all children” ???!!! start with children in the womb, Mr McAffee. In your 16 years as a paramedic, undoubtedly you encountered situations in which the foetus = read, baby = was in distress. And your friends in the medical system moved heaven and earth to save that child’s life. A real Person, not some figment of his mother’s imagination. But when it comes to frank talk about how that same class of humans being are dismembered and that your political party is funded by profits from the profits of sale of babies’ bodyparts, All of a sudden you’re “looking at your pockets” preferring to play the ignoramus
~~~~ you cite peer-reviewed journals as evidence for the science around milk. Then go read the study published in the Open Journal for Preventative Medicine, reporting that 61 per cent of ALL cause mortality for black people, is = artificial abortion. Margaret Sanger called Negroes “weeds” who were to be exterminated. Hitler’s pals admired the eugenics part of her Plan for Peace so much they came over from Germany to consult her how to carry it out. And they did.
>>>> Fast-forward to your dog in the last Presidential election, who smiled for the cameras while receiving the Margaret Sanger award.
>>> Words fail me to define the depths of your hypocrisy. Your capper … patting thy-self on the back for what-a-hell-of-a-guy you are, whilst calling me a racist … because I tell this society the facts about RACE.
>>>> It galls me no end you insinuate your trademark smarm in to this forum, but you sure don’t put such insipidity up on the Organic Pastures website. no, you know enough about the demographics of your market to grasp that REAL MILK consumers are nearly all white folks … many of them getting it so as to give their unborn babies precious nutrition. You go on about that much when it translates into profit for OPD. But you don’t dare post your hysterical rants about politics on your own website, because you know that those folks voted for PRESIDENT Trump.
>>> I am well-aware that this year+half insanity with McAffee detracts from the proper business of this forum. I remind all-concerned that after The inauguration, he vowed to keep on posting his diatribes, and I promised that every time he did, he’d get it back in spades.
Dear Watson,
I have the highest regard for life. That starts with nourishment of unborn life.
i have a very serious problem when others judge decisions made by mothers when their unborn babies are so badly deformed or sick with something incompatible with life. When a mothers life is in jeapardy, how dare anyone judge the decision to terminate a pregnancy. That is her decision and her decision only. Not yours, not mine….only a mothers.
I do not condone abortion. But I will not stand in judgement of anyone that must make that heart wrenching decision.
I hope this clarifies my position on this very tough area of medicine. Birthing healthy children includes assuring the health of their mothers. Mothers lives come before babies. As a paramedic that was our priority and it makes sense, in all measures. Ethical, moral and medical. You would never kill a mother to save a baby.
It was always our greatest joy……delivery of a healthy baby. I did it 26 times in 16 years. I also helped plenty of moms that delivered dead or dying babies. It was tough…very tough.
Not all babies live. This is also part of life.
Watson, I do appreciate your zealous protection of the unborn but there are limits. When mothers lives are in serious jeopardy, there is a line.
your reply, Mark McAffee, is the classic double-talk = specious non-sense. As an apologist for the abortion industry, you put yourself in the same category as “Hitler’s willing enablers”.
>>>”when mothers lives are in serious jeopardy, there is a line”. in fact, the instances of a woman’s life being endangered by her pregnancy are extremely rare. Bernard Nathanson pioneered abortion on demand, in New York State. He quit – not because of religious conviction, but as a scientist he realized he was killing innocent humans being. Later, he admitted that, in the 1970s when journalists would come ’round, asking for statistical evidence, he said “we just made it up”.
>>>> In Canada, the abortionists used the term “therapeutic abortion” ’til the day the Supreme Court of Canada sided with Henry Morgue+Dollar. Since January 1988, the pro-aborts NEVER use that word. Their line now, is, same as what comes out of your mouth = ‘artificial abortion for any reason’ … including sex selection. What you’ve just made public is that you are a moral coward who refuses to differentiate right from wrong. 30 years’ study on this topic has taught me that there is an intelligent, longrunning agenda to use artificial abortion as a weapon in the race war against whites = the very definition of genocide.
… like everything else, the abortion controversy comes down to tax $$. Elective surgery? Pay for your own God damned abortion! Regardless of his other faults, Donald Trump is one of the few political animals with the testicular wherewithal to stand up and be counted = In your moral universe, commodification of human body parts harvested from the abortion mills, is just “business as usual”. PRESIDENT Trump is doing what he can to defund the serial child killers known as Planned Barrenhood. See the difference?
>>>> Trump and his handlers reached the conscience of white Christian America on that issue, alone. For which they appointed him to preside over the nation. Meanwhile, you admit you’re an intellectual gelding … mumbling pathetic excuses to shut off facing the consequences of your stupidity.
… I am very tired of going ’round this topic. Where I came in on it, was = during the presidential election, you threw in your lot with the feminists working out the design of the eugenicists to impose the Coudenhoven Kalergi Plan, while sneering at guys like me as “Nazis”. Quit going on about it. the abortion controversy has no place in this raw milk forum. Life is short ; we don’t have forever. The next one you’re going to be talking about it with, is God
